Baby Gourmet Foods Inc. initiated a recall for some of its Little Gourmet Organic brand Mealtime Bowls over concerns they are contaminated with wood pieces.
The recall involves Little Gourmet Organic Mealtime Bowls in veggie chicken pasta and veggie beef lasagna varieties with UPC codes of 6 28619 88103 4 and 6 28619 88102 7, Food Safety News reports.
Baby Gourmet Foods reportedly decided to recall the Little Gourmet Organic Mealtime Bowls after a consumer complaint about the wood contamination, which has not led to any injury reports, according to the recall notice.
Little Gourmet Organic Mealtime Bowls sold in stores, online
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says Baby Gourmet Foods sold the recalled Little Gourmet Organic branded Mealtime Bowls in stores throughout Canada and online, Food Safety News reports.
Consumers and retailers should not consume, sell, serve or distribute the recalled Little Gourmet Organic Mealtime Bowls, which the CFIA is reportedly verifying are being removed from the marketplace.
In another recall, children’s book publisher Make Believe Ideas recalled nearly 273,000 of its Rainbow Road series board books in September over concerns the plastic ring bindings on the books could detach, creating a choking hazard.
The recall involves 12,900 Rainbow Road series board books sold in Canada and an additional 260,000 books sold in the United States.
