Ontario Cannabis Store recall overview: 

  • Who: The Ontario Cannabis Store recalled all lots of its Goodnight Dream Caps, an unapproved prescription drug CBD product. 
  • Why: The company initiated the recall over concerns the Goodnight Dream Caps could cause temporary adverse health consequences or serious health consequences. 
  • Where: The recalled Goodnight Dream Caps were sold in Ontario, Canada. 

The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) recalled all lots of its Goodnight Dream Caps CBD product over concerns the unapproved prescription drug could cause temporary adverse health consequences or a remote probability of serious health consequences. 

The recalled Goodnight Dream Caps, produced by Taima Extracts Inc., include all packaged dates for products sold in Ontario, Canada. 

The listing for the Goodnight Dream Caps has been removed from the OCS website. They were previously sold for $9.75 per bottle with seven caps each containing 20 mg of CBD with zero THC. 

The recalled Goodnight Dream Caps also contain 10 mg of melatonin and chamomile oil, with OCS describing the product as “made with high-quality CBD isolate” and “non-psychoactive and THC-free.” 

Health Canada has not yet posted Goodnight Dream Caps recall 

Health Canada has not yet posted a recall for the Goodnight Dream Caps as of this writing, StratCann reports

In a separate cannabis-related recall, TerrAscend Canada recalled almost 331,000 units of its Haven St. cannabis gummies in 2021 over concerns they could potentially be contaminated with mould that could cause an allergic reaction. 

The recalled cannabis gummies included TerrAscend’s No. 570 Wild Berry and No. 470 Sour Watermelon flavored product lines sold at dispensaries in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Manitoba and Newfoundland.
