Fisher-Price recall overview: 

  • Who: Fisher-Price recalled about 204,000 Donald and Daisy Duck plastic figures in the U.S. and about 11,000 that were sold in Canada as part of its Little People Mickey and Friends figure pack. 
  • Why: The recall was initiated over concerns the heads on the recalled Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures could detach, posing a choking hazard for small children. 
  • Where: The Donald Duck recall affects certain consumers in the U.S. and Canada. 

A new Fisher-Price recall has been issued for around 204,000 Donald and Daisy Duck plastic figures last week over concerns their heads could detach, posing a choking hazard for small children. 

The Fisher-Price choking hazard recall, which includes about 11,000 figures sold in Canada, involves plastic Donald and Daisy Duck figures sold in the Fisher-Price Little People Mickey and Friends figure pack with the model numbers HPJ88 or HTW75. 

Fisher-Price said it has received three reports of the heads detaching from the recalled Donald and Daisy Duck figures, including one that occurred while the figure was in the mouth of a small child. 

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled Donald and Daisy Duck figures and take them away from children and contact Fisher-Price to receive a prepaid return label that can be used to return the figures for a $10 refund. 

Fisher-Price recall involves Donald, Daisy Duck figures sold nationwide 

The recalled Donald and Daisy Duck figures were sold at Walmart, Kohls, Meijer, HEB and Kroger stores nationwide as well as on Amazon.com and Walmart.com and other websites from May 2023 through February 2024 for around $20.

Fisher-Price re-announced a recall in January for 4.7 million of its Rock ‘n Play Sleepers after receiving reports of 70 additional deaths linked to the sleepers — at least eight of which took place after the original recall in April 2019.
