TJX issued a recall for around 15,000 Tommy Bahama children’s pants sets sold at Marshalls.
The recalled pants sets contain plastic pieces on the ends of their faux drawstrings that can come loose and fall off, posing a choking hazard.
The recall, which includes about 14,500 children’s pants sets sold in the U.S. and another 720 sold in Canada, involves Tommy Bahama brown stretch twill children’s pants containing rib cuffs with a drawstring that were sold as part of a set with a blue or green butter fleece crewneck top.
TJX advises consumers to immediately take the recalled children’s pants sets away from their children and to cut off the faux drawstrings to eliminate the potential choking hazard.
The retail company said consumers can also contact the company for instructions on how to destroy the pants and obtain a full refund, or return the recalled children’s pants sets to any Marshalls retail store location for a full refund.

The recalled Tommy Bahama children’s pants sets were sold at Marshalls stores nationwide from December 2023 through February 2024 for either $13 or $15, depending on if the color of the butter fleece crewneck top was green or blue, respectively.
No injuries have been reported in connection with the recall. Individuals with more questions about the recall can contact TJX directly by telephone at 888-627-7425 or email, or can visit Marshalls’ website.
TJX issued a separate recall in March 2023 for more than 82,000 of the company’s office chairs over concerns they could break.
