BC Dried Cannabis Recall Overview:

A BC dried cannabis product called Bud Coast Saltspring OG Shark is being recalled as it could contain powdery mildew.
In a recall issued Oct. 14, Health Canada says it is recalling one lot of Bud Coast Saltspring OG Shark dried cannabis, made by Joint Venture Craft Cannabis Inc and sold through the British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch.
The recall was issued because the BC dried cannabis product may contain powdery mildew.
In certain people, exposure to the mildew may result in allergic symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny nose or nasal congestion, and watery or itchy eyes, the recall says.
“Consumers should immediately stop using this product,” Health Canada says.

BC Dried Cannabis Consumers Report Mildew Contamination
The mildew was initially reported by a customer, the recall says. To date, Joint Venture Craft Cannabis Inc says it has received two complaints related to powdery mildew on the product.
“The use of, or exposure to a mouldy product may cause temporary adverse health consequences, where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,” the recall says.
The recall relates to all Bud Coast Saltspring OG Shark dried cannabis with packing date 2021-09-22. At least 1071 units of the recalled product were sold between Sept. 22 and Oct. 7.
Neither Health Canada nor Joint Venture Craft Cannabis Inc has received any adverse reaction reports for the recalled cannabis product, the pair says.
Consumers can return the product to the retailer where the product was purchased, or throw it out.
Health Canada warned customers to dispose of marijuana products safely, where animals and children could not get to it.
Health Canada has issued several other recalls on cannabis products, including mouldly medical marijuana and melting vape pens.
