Polaris recall overview:

  • Who: Polaris is recalling more than 10,000 2022-2023 snowmobiles with Patriot Boost engines.
  • Why: The fuel line between the fuel rails can leak, leading to a fire risk.
  • Where: The Polaris snowmobiles recall is effective in the United States and Canada.

More than 10,000 model year 2022-2023 Polaris snowmobiles with Patriot Boost engines are being recalled due to potential fuel line leaks that can lead to fires.

The Polaris recall includes Pro RMK Slash, RMK Khaos Slash, INDY VR1 and Switchback Assault snowmobiles sold in black and custom color combinations.

The snowmobiles have “POLARIS” stamped on the front side panel with the VIN and model number on the right side of the vehicle’s frame.

The recall affects about 7,000 snowmobiles sold in the U.S. and approximately 3,100 sold in Canada.

Polaris dealers sold the snowmobiles for between $19,300 and $22,000, from October 2021 through August 2023.

Polaris dealers will conduct a fuel line repair as part of the recall. The manufacturer is asking customers to immediately stop using the Polaris snowmobiles.

17 fuel leaks reported, no injuries, Polaris recall says

Polaris says it has received 17 reports of fuel leaks so far, but no reports of injuries. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Customers can reach Polaris by telephone at 800-765-2747 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday, or via email at Owner.Connections@polaris.com.

Polaris issued a pair of recalls in December 2023 for its model year 2022-2023 snowmobiles over injury hazard risks concerning their primary drive clutches.
