SharkNinja pressure cooker recall overview:

  • Who: SharkNinja is recalling approximately 1.8 million Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers.

SharkNinja has issued a recall for more than 1.8 million of its Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers due to a significant burn hazard. 

The SharkNinja pressure cooker recall affects units sold in the United States and Canada, following reports that the pressure-cooking lid can be opened while the cooker is in use, potentially causing hot contents to escape and burn users.

The recall was announced on May 1, 2025, and includes all Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers. These cookers, which feature both pressure cooking and air frying capabilities, were sold in black with a 6.5-quart capacity.

The affected models are OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP305, OP305CO and OP350CO, sold at major retailers like Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon and Target from January 2019 through March 2025.

SharkNinja has allegedly received 106 reports of burn injuries, including over 50 cases of second- or third-degree burns, and 26 lawsuits have been filed in connection with these incidents, including potential SharkNinja pressure cooker class action lawsuit claims.

The recall notice advises consumers to immediately stop using the pressure-cooking function of the affected units and to contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid. Users can continue to utilize other functions of the cooker, such as air frying. 

SharkNinja is actively working to resolve the issue by providing free replacement lids to affected consumers. This measure is intended to prevent further injuries and ensure the safety of its customers.

Customers should complete an online form and upload a photo of the cooker’s rear panel to receive a replacement without returning the entire unit.
