FeraDyne Outdoors announced a recall for around 50,000 of its Rhino tree stands over concerns the stitching on the safety harnesses for the tree stands can rip, creating a fall hazard.
The recall, which includes an additional 340 tree stands sold in Canada, spans nine models of safety harnesses attached to tree ladder stands ranging from 16 to 22 feet in height.
FeraDyne says it has not received reports of injury in connection with the recall, according to the recall notice. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled tree stands and contact the company to obtain instructions on how to receive a replacement tree stand safety harness.
Consumers must submit proof that they destroyed the original safety harness before FeraDyne will ship the replacement safety harness free of charge, according to the FeraDyne recall.
Recalled FeraDyne tree stands sold nationwide on Amazon, at hunting, supply stores
FeraDyne sold the recalled tree stands on Amazon and other websites and Dick’s Merchandising & Supply, Orscheln Farm & Home and hunting and supply stores nationwide from Feb. 2021-Dec. 2022 for $110-$360.
