A brand of yogurt sold at Costco has been recalled due to mold contamination.
The recall was published Sept. 10 by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
It applies to Kirkland Signature brand Greek Yogurt (24 pack) with best before date of Aug. 10, 2024, and UPC 0 96619 22215 5.
The yogurt was manufactured by General Mills Canada Co. and was distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan.
The agency says while the microbial contamination is not harmful, stores and consumers are should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.
In 2021, Costco Canada advised consumers who purchased the Irish Rover 2021 Advent Calendar for Dogs to immediately stop feeding the treats to their pets “out of an abundance of caution.” It did not state what the issue with the treats was.
