New cucumber recalls are being issued over potential salmonella contamination.

The recalls were initiated by Baloian Farms of Arizona and Russ Davis Wholesale.ย 

Baloian Farmsโ€™ recall involved all sizes of its whole fresh American cucumbers packaged in bulk cardboard containers labeled with the brand name โ€œPamela.โ€ย 

The company said it initiated the recall after discovering its supplier SunFed Produce provided them with cucumbers that may be associated with reported salmonella illnesses between Oct. 12, 2024, and Nov. 15, 2024, according to theย Baloian Farms recall.ย 

The recalled cucumbers were sold between Oct. 12, 2024 through Nov. 26, 2024 to customers in 18 U.S. states and the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.ย 

Baloian Farms said the recalled cucumbers would have reached consumers through retail and foodservice outlets.ย

Russ Davis issues recall after discovering it used Baloian Farms cucumbers

Russ Davis, meanwhile, said it initiated the recall after discovering Baloian Farmsโ€™ cucumbers had been processed and distributed through the company.ย 

Theย Russ Davis recallย involves a variety of cucumber products packaged under different brand names โ€”including Crazy Fresh, among others.ย 

The recalled cucumber products were distributed to both foodservice and retail customers inย Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming, according to the recall.ย 

Russ Davis said no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall and that it is unlikely any of the recalled cucumber products remain in stores or in the homes of consumers.ย

In another recent recall involving salmonella concerns, Church Brothers Farmsย issued a recallย for 1,271 cases of green onions in October after determining they may have been contaminated with salmonella.ย 

The Church Brothers recall involved green onions sold under the Church Brothers, Trader Joeโ€™s and Imperial Fresh brand names.ย
