Polaris issued recalls for certain model year 2024 Ranger Recreational Off-Road Vehicles and ProXD and Bobcat Utility Task Vehicles and model year 2024-2025 RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 ROVs.
Polaris recalled the Ranger ROVs and ProXD and Bobcat Utility Task UTVs over concerns their passenger side seat belt anchor point could separate from the vehicles’ frame due to a defective weld on the bracket.
Polaris says the issue could pose an injury hazard to passengers if it affects a loose bracket or the seat belt fails during a crash.
The recall involves about 2,500 Ranger ROVs and ProXD and Bobcat Utility Task UTVs sold at Polaris and Bobcat dealers nationwide — along with about 130 sold in Canada — from November 2023-August 2024 for $17,800-$32,700.
Polaris says it identified three reports of improper welds affecting the recalled vehicles but has not received any injury reports.
Polaris recalls RZR XP 1000, XP 4 1000 ROVs over electrical short concerns
Polaris recalled the RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 ROVs over concerns their positive battery terminal cover could become damaged by the seat base, causing the positive battery to be exposed and contact nearby conductive components and, leading to an electrical short, according to the recall notice.
The recall involves about 21,000 of the RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 ROVs sold at Polaris dealers nationwide — along with about 1,300 sold in Canada — from April 2023-July 2024 for $20,900-$29,900.
Polaris says it received three reports of incidents in connection with the recall, including two reports of fires and one report of melted wires, but no injury reports.
