Gerber baby cereal recall overview:ย 

  • Who: Nestlรฉ Canada issued a voluntary recall for its Gerber Oat Banana & Mango Baby Cereal.ย 
  • Why: The recall was initiated over concerns the Gerber baby cereal may have been contaminated with Cronobacter.ย 
  • Where: The recalled Gerber baby cereal was sold online and in-store at locations in Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and possibly other provinces and territories.ย 

Nestlรฉ Canada is issuing a voluntary recall for its Gerber brand Oat Banana & Mango Baby Cereal 227g product over concerns it may be contaminated with Cronobacter.ย 

The recall involves Gerber Oat Banana & Mango Baby Cereal 227g with the code 3334007809 โ€“ EXP 2025 MA 30.ย 

Nestlรฉ Canada said the recall is being conducted out of an โ€œabundance of caution,โ€ that no reports of illness have been received in connection with the recall and that no other Nestlรฉ or Gerber products in Canada are affected.ย 

The recalled Gerber Oat Banana & Mango Baby Cereal was sold online and in in-store locations throughout Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and possibly other provinces and territories.ย 

Consumers advised to dispose of recalled Gerber baby cerealย 

Consumers who purchased the recalled Gerber baby cereal products are advised to stop using the product and contact Nestlรฉ Canada for reimbursement prior to disposing of the product.ย

In a previous baby-related recall, NUK First Choice issued a recall for around 800 of its Glass Baby Bottles in the US and about 77 in Canada in July 2022 over concerns the outside markings on the bottles contained a higher lead content than what is legally allowed.ย
