A kid’s trampoline sold on Amazon was recalled after multiple incidents of leg and strap failure, some resulting injuries, were reported to the manufacturer.

The recall covers nearly 1,500 LBLA Kids 55″ Trampolines sold on Amazon between July 2020 and June 2021. The trampolines are green and come with an enclosure net and safety pad and may be identified by the Amazon ASIN number B085VM6W27.

“The welds on the support frame of the trampoline may fail, posing a fall hazard,” warns Health Canada in its recall notice. “As of June, 2021, the company has received 5 reports of the trampoline’s legs or straps breaking in Canada and 2 reports of injuries.”

Amazon says it has contacted affected customers, warning them of the defective trampolines and issuing refunds.

Health Canada says that consumers should take the recalled kid’s trampoline away from their children immediately and contact their local waste operator for instructions about recycling or disposing of the product.

The Amazon kid’s trampoline recall joins other recalls on products for children and infants that have been issued this year, including 42,500 packs of assorted kids’ garden tools and more than 17,000 infant sleep sacks sold under the brands First Wish, Sam & Jo, Dylan and Abby, Miss Mona Mouse, Harry & Me, and Aspen.

According to Health Canada’s website, the agency issues notifications about recalls it identifies through its surveillance tools. The agency wants to share this information with the public by sending out recall notices and other advisories.

“Recalls and safety alerts are sent out when we have important information to share—meaning you can feel more secure when choosing and using products,” the Health Canada website says.

Top Class Actions will continue to monitor this and other product recalls in the interest of consumer safety.
