Road warrior remote control racing truck regarding its recallHealth Canada has announced the recall of the Road Warrior Remote Control Racing Truck, which may overheat during use, posing a burn and fire risk. 

If you have a Road Warrior Remote Control Racing Truck, Health Canada says you should remove the batteries, stop using the toy, and return it for a refund.

The Road Warrior Remote Control Racing Truck is manufactured by Amax Group USA LLC and distributed by Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. The toy truck is red with yellow and orange accents, with the word “WARRIOR” printed on the sides and big black wheels.

The battery compartment is on the underside of the truck and is secured by a latch and screw.

Health Canada notes that there have been 12 reports of the Road Warrior truck overheating or catching fire as of Jan. 31, 2020. However, there were no reports of injuries.

Approximately 769 Road Warrior trucks were sold in Canada between November 2019 and January 2020.

If you have one or more of the recalled trucks, you should return the truck to a Costco Wholesale Canada location to obtain a refund. The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being sold, redistributed or given away in Canada.

Health Canada is a federal institution that is responsible for helping Canadians stay healthy. It works to reduce health risks and ensures the accessibility of quality health services.

The agency provides safety information about consumer products and cosmetics. It also collects reports about unsafe products and takes steps in conjunction with the company or companies responsible to ensure consumer safety.

After being notified about incidents in which the Road Warrior Remote Control Racing Truck overheated or caught fire, Health Canada determined it was necessary to alert consumers and issue a recall of the affected trucks.
