Fiat sign regarding the FCA class action lawsuit filed

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is facing a class action lawsuit claiming negligence as a result of faulty, unrepairable vehicles that could cause accidents or injury to drivers.

Fiat Chrysler is under fire after Transport Canada received 24 recalls that included major defects that cannot be fixed. “Defects to the Class Vehicles are fundamental defects in design and manufacture and cannot be remedied. The Defendants negligently designed, manufactured, and marketed the Class Vehicles,” the Fiat Chrysler class action lawsuit states.

Fiat Chrysler Admits to Failures to Remedy Recalled Vehicles

In July 2015, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration facilitated a public hearing to conclude whether or not Fiat Chrysler failed to fix safety flaws and announce mandatory recalls in 23 vehicles. The hearing’s determination found that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles did not sufficiently fix dangerously defective vehicles in a reasonable time frame, nor did they issue recalls to owners in a timely manner.

FCA admitted they had failed to issue required recalls to drivers and they admitted failure to fix defective vehicles.

Plaintiff Corrine Kane from Regina, Saskatchewan bought a 2007 Jeep Liberty that was affected by a dangerous recall.

The FCA class action lawsuit Canada alleges the recalled vehicles’ defects make the automobiles dangerous to drive and can put owners, passengers, and other drivers on the road at risk. The Fiat Chrysler recalls allegedly increase the risk of injury or death in the event of an accident. Furthermore, Fiat Chrysler vehicle owners face loss of value on their vehicles due to the defects.

The FCA recalls class action lawsuit alleges that the carmaker “researched, developed, designed, tested, manufactured, marketed, distributed, and sold” the now-recalled faulty vehicles to unassuming buyers across Canada. The Class Members own, lease, or use one of the recalled Fiat Chrysler vehicles.

You actually make it seem so easy along with your presentation but
I in finding this matter to be actually something
that I feel I might never understand. It sort of feels too complex and very large for me.
I’m taking a look ahead on your subsequent post,
I will try to get the dangle of it!

I own a 2016 Fiat500X purchase new in June 2017. In 2021 my car shifted into neutral on it’s own and I was hit (rear-ended) in an accident. After much effort, I discovered the real cause of the accident, which was the subject of a recall in August 2016, but never communicated to me prior to purchase and not addressed by the dealer prior to sale. I have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to get my car fixed and even now, it still (after many ‘fixes’ by Fiat mechanics), it still randomly ‘jolts’ every time I drive it. What can I do ?

  4. Nath R. says:

I own a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and I’ve been to the dealer and they steal and cheat you to pay for a service that they did not service, and they want you to replace parts that aren’t broken.. And to top it off my TIPM problem just surfaced with my head lights slightly flickering. TIPM is common problem on Dodge grand caravan they ask you to pay 1200$ plus labor for the box. And no it’s not my alternator or battery they got replaced last year after an overhaul head gasket replacement.

  5. Stefan says:

Anyone have any suggestions what to do with what is clearly a major problem with the Chrysler 200’s (mines 2012)… this TIPM connector which randomly cause the car to turn off should be a major recall no??

  6. Robert says:

My son has a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 3.6 l engine. His truck had key mechanism issues previously and is now laid up over what appears to be TIPM fault and replacement parts are nowhere to be found. I read of earlier dated lawsuits in the USA but are there active ones here in Canada?

  7. Nik says:

I have a 2015 Chrysler 200S that chews through oil and the transmission is so rough and jerky.
