Yoplait has initiated a recall of its YOP Drinkable Yogurt products due to concerns that they may contain pieces of plastic.
The recall, updated Nov.22, includes a range of YOP Drinkable Yogurt flavors such as Blueberry, Strawberry, and Vanilla, among others.
Each product comes in a 200 mL size, with UPC codes ranging from 0 56920 13027 3 to 0 56920 13025 9 and have best-before dates up to and including Jan. 12, 2026.
According to the recall notice, the presence of plastic pieces poses a potential hazard to consumers, necessitating immediate action to prevent consumption.
Yoplait recall urges consumers not to consume, sell, serve or distribute affected products
Consumers are urged to check their homes for the affected Yop drinkables products and to either dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
The recall notice emphasizes the importance of not consuming these products due to the risk of injury from plastic contamination.
Yoplait is taking steps to address the issue by removing the affected products from the marketplace and advising consumers on the necessary precautions.
For more information, consumers can contact Yoplait customer service at 1-800-230-8103 (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST), or sign up for Yoplait recall notifications via email or follow updates on social media platforms.
Yoplait says it has not received any reports of illness or injury related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
