  1. Peter Cyngot says:

There was a class-action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on August 21, seeking status to represent all owners of Mazda vehicles that used engines equipped with a variable valve timing (VVT) assembly. I had a 2006 Mazda 3 that I purchased used in 2013 from a Mazda dealership, long after the engine problems were known. The engine self-destructed at 160,000 km, and the car was a write-off. I have seen no similar suit filed in Canada, although I know several people who had the exact same problem. You can’t find a used Mazda 3 from that era because they are all in the junk yard.
