Not Clear How Plastic, Metal Got in Recalled Ice Cream Tubs

The recall notice did not say how the issue was caused, or how it was discovered; however, it said it involved the company Agropur Coopรฉrative.

Agropur Coopรฉrative is a dairy cooperative and supplier of products for the industrial, retail and foodservice sectors.ย

In the past, Agropur initiated a recall for cheeses made at a Beauceville plant due to the possible presence of fine metal particles coming from a manufacturing piece of equipment.ย

It is not known if any consumers were impacted by the recalled products. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

Late last year, Driscollโ€™s blueberries were pulled from the shelves in Ontario, Canada, due to the possible presence of small metallic spheres.
