Consumers have a few options for relief under the terms of the IKEA settlement.

Class Members may visit an IKEA Canada retail location or contact the IKEA Customer Support Centre at 1-800-661-9807 to receive a free chest of drawers anchoring kit.

Class Members may install the kits themselves or contact customer support for a one-time free in-home installation.

Consumers who purchased a covered chest of drawers manufactured between January 2002 and June 2016 and do not wish to secure them may return them to any IKEA for a full refund.

If the chest of drawers was manufactured before January 2002, the Class Member may be eligible for a partial store credit.

For all the above benefits, Class Members are limited to six chests of drawers each.

In addition to those benefits, Class Members may choose an optional pickup service to Quebec claimants who are unable to return the chest of drawers to an IKEA.

Class Members may call the IKEA Customer Support Centre at 1-888-444-5596 and leave a voicemail to receive this benefit. The Class Member must provide proof of purchase through a claim form.
